The University of Oregon Athletic Department is launching an effort to celebrate the past, present and future of Women’s Athletics at the University of Oregon. Plans are underway for a campaign that will culminate with the presentation of varsity “O” letters to former female student-athletes at a celebratory banquet tentatively scheduled for the Fall/Winter of the 2005-06 season. Varsity letters will be awarded to female student-athletes who did not receive a varsity letter after participating on a varsity sports team or in intercollegiate athletics competition.

In order to aid the cause, the athletic department is attempting to identify and contact as many female varsity student-athletes as far back in university history as possible. The information collected will be entered into a database and maintained by the athletic department. Former UO female student-athletes are asked to submit their contact information by clicking the link below or by calling 541.346.5417. PAPE JAM
In December, 2003 the Order of the O hosted a special event for members at the Pape Jam Basketball Tournament in Portland. The event included reserved seat tickets in a special O of O section and a private reception at the Rose Garden. Over 90 O of O members purchased tickets. The game and reception were a great way to thank Portland area members that do not often get down to other O of O events in Eugene.
